Need to call your overdue customer? Read this first

The collection call- we have all been there before. Almost certain. You have been staring at their invoice for days, wishing and hoping they would just pay it. A couple of reminders have been sent, still nothing. So you wait another couple of days, still nothing. Yep, the time has come- you are going to have to call them. Regardless of how many times you have done this, it never gets easier. Just know that anxiety, fear and unease are completely normal and even I used to hate calling my clients for payment. Chasing someone else’s money is so much easier! Just remind yourself that they wanted what you provided. Not just that- they wanted it so badly they were willing to pay you for it. Be confident, be relaxed, be friendly, but above all else- be very clear- about what you are ringing them for- “Can you please pay this today?”. Now pick up that phone, dial their number and get paid what you deserve- you got this!
