Your customer’s web designer- use them to your advantage!

Hi everyone, hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Still fawning over my flashy new website, I had a lightbulb moment for a great new post that can help you all! Today we are going to talk about your missing customer and how on earth you find them. I would say 70% of your customers will be other businesses and the majority would have a website- trying to locate your customer in debt collection world is called “skip tracing” and the key the effective skip tracing is to speak with as many third parties as possible. There is one third party in particular that is like gold if your customer has a website- their website developer! Most can be found at the bottom of the website, with links to their own website. Contact this person and let them know you are trying to speak with so and so and you understand they built their site for them and may have more up to date contact details than you have. Always be discreet and certainly never tell the developer that the customer owes you money, but if asked the right way, the developer may go out of their way to help you and provide you all sorts of contact details. If they refuse, then ask if you can give them your number to pass onto the customer. Tell them it is absolutely urgent and thank them profusely if they agree. This works in 99.9999% of cases- you just have to ask. So there you go- your business customers’ web developer- possibly your new best friend! Cheers
